Growing up in Japan and New York City, I’ve been molded by opposite cultures and lifestyles, which have greatly influenced my creative thinking. The minimal aesthetic and serene nature of Japan has raised me to be modest, appreciative, and respectful, while the vibrant and chaotic environment of New York City has inspired me to think a bit bolder with less restraints.
My sensitivity and attentiveness arising from these two opposites have led me to become a better listener, drawing inspiration from observing my surroundings – and at the same time being open to brainstorming with others to develop the big idea.
