Growing up in plain old upstate New York was no ‘cake walk’ for the colorful multi-layer cake that I might call myself - but what I learned from those years takes the cake!
Surrounded by the monotonous, and at times, restrictive conformities of country-living, my late nights were spent escaping in old magazines and watching foreign films. The ideas, visuals, and emotions in these cultural artifacts transported me far away in imagined worlds and possibilities that fueled my creative and personal liberation.
My address may have changed, but my passion for design continues to be inspired by art and culture that I am still discovering late at night.
